Update
So I agreed to sign on for another month with the company I am currently at. It’s been a lot of work, and I’m realizing more and more how uncomfortable it is to be a freelancer.
I just added up the money owed to me; so far I’m waiting on five different checks. I haven’t been paid a single penny by anyone yet.
I’m also waiting to hear the verdict on four different full time in-house positions that I am being considered for.
But I can’t complain. I brought all this on myself (and I don’t mean that in a bad way); I came to New York with only the desire to work so I have had to make myself comfortable with being uncomfortable.
I hate cliches, I hate people that say them even more. But alas, things will fall into place.
