Goals For Next Decade (def a working list)
1. Live abroad. Acceptable places include Paris, London, and anywhere in Italy (but not Naples). Maybe even Berlin, but I don’t think I’m cool enough to live there. Part of the reason I could never live in Brooklyn.
Work in this new country of residence. Yes, I don’t just want to vacation there (although that sounds good too).
Stay there for at least a year. Any longer and my mother will come drag me back. (She didn’t know that when I left LA I would continue going east. )
2. Never look at a 1099 form ever again. Ever. Ever.
3. Run a half marathon. Yes, just a half.
4. Get very involved in a charity. And not in a clichéd Ladies Who Lunch sort of way. I’m not satisfied with just occasionally supporting charities with laughable donations that my current 1099 lifestyle support.
5. Learn to knit so I can make massively oversized scarves and sweaters that are completely obtrusive to all passerby.
6. Save two Golden Retrievers and name them Bleecker and Bartleby.
7. Make it to the Top 3 in Scramble.
