And On Another Note
I’m totally aware that each photo is of a different width and size. One day when I have lots of free time I plan on resizing everything, because I agree—tis ugly!

Diddy Board
Hey Laurel, are you really allowing Viacom to advertise (again!) for more screw-loose misfits to audition for I want to work for Diddy? I just want to know if Poprah is coming back to host or scrutinize the newbies.

Scoot Over Earth, Time To Talk Closet
Sorry Earth, I know it’s your day and all, but I can’t stop fantasizing about this outfit. Matthew Williamson for H&M launches tomorrow, and I’m so anti-designer low-brow collabo (because they hijack the prices anyway) but…but! This outfit is way overpriced to be carried at H&M and I refuse to deal with any sort of retail chain nonsense but gosh do I want this...

Hey Greenies
In the spirit of Earth Day I thought it would make perfect sense to complain about the ways in which New York is ridiculously un-Earth-friendly. Yeah, it’s great we all use public transportation and reduce carbon emissions (I’m not being facetious, I do think it’s great) but recycling here is an absolute joke. From a user standpoint I get it—too much effort to house your...

Eat-a-Lee
So it seems as though the Italy trip might really be happening. My mom’s been talking about going for years. Her cousin/niece/someone has a house/cottage/villa (it continues to change) that was featured in Saveur/Travel & Leisure/The Onion (this too changes), and apparently this house is ours for the month of September. My mothers plan: “I just want to walk to the local market...

Bic Check 1, 2
Ben: Hey do you guys carry the Giant OCR 3W?
Bike Shop Guy: Probably.
Ben: Um, OK?
Bike Shop Guy: Can you call back at 9:30, that's when our computers turn on.
Ben: Are they hooked up to a giant clock?

More On Bikes
Me: Can you believe it's $1,200 for a used tour bike on Craigslist!
Ben: Yeah that's--
Me: 1,200 freaking dollars, that's like a purse!
Ben: That's what I say when you buy purses.

Boy Do I Love This
When I first moved to NYC my train station was the sh*tshow Broadway/Nassau station in the Financial District. The station was always littered with signs about changes/cancellations and half of the time I’d walk all the way to the platform to find out it was roped off. I spent a lot of time trying to decipher the signs until I just gave up. For this reason, I love this:

In Search Of Bike
Growing up riding a bicycle meant that you didn’t have a car, or friends with a car, and really—more than anything— you were just a loser. I mean, where did you have to go that you needed to ride a bike? Couldn’t your housekeeper just drive you (I love myself for writing that right now—anyone that grew up in Santa Monica will appreciate that). But seriously lets face...

It's war
Lets say for a moment you had just finished showering, grabbed for what you thought was a clean towel, and after drying yourself noticed thousands on tiny black speckles on your skin. Because today that happened to me, and my immediate reaction was, “Holy sh*t there are ants on me.” But no. Instead it was a dirty towel filled with beard hair. Yes, beard hair from a recently-bearded...

A Good 'Ole Cookoff
My mother and I are in an old fashioned East Vs. West Easter Bake Off. Although it would seem like a pointless challenge for me, we’ve taken into account the following: size of kitchen, income, and extraneous variables, like the fact that my oven shuts off intermittently. The contest isn’t close to being finished, but she continues to send me images of her overstuffed fridge, food, and...
